It was an emphatic win by MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings over Ganguly led Kolkatta Knight Riders.

Dhoni was mildly critical of his bowlers during the toss chat with Ravi Shastri. After winning the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders chose to bat first.

McCullum started well again but thanks to that Jacob Oram’s over where he took McCullum’s and Ponting’s wicket, Chennai Super Kings got total control of the game and never let go.

Chennai Super Kings easily achieved the target of 148 set by Kolkata Knight Riders with few overs to spare and 9 wickets remaining.
